HP đã bắt đầu cho đặt hàng một trong những mẫu laptop đầu tiên sử dụng vi xử lý AMD Zacate với giá chỉ từ 449 USD. Pavilion dm1z có màn hình kích thước 11,6 inch độ phân giải 1.366 x 768 pixel, pin 6 cell đi kèm, Wi-Fi chuẩn n và hệ điều hành Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Ở mức khởi điểm, máy trang bị vi xử lý chip lõi kép AMD E-350 tốc độ 1,6 GHz, bộ nhớ RAM DDR3 dung lượng 3GB, ổ cứng dung lượng 320GB tốc độ 7.200 vòng/phút.
Ngoài ra, Pavilion dm1z còn thêm nhiều tùy chọn như bộ nhớ RAM 4GB hoặc 8GB, ổ cứng dung lượng tối đa 750GB hay ổ SSD dung lượng 128GB, hệ điều hành Windows 7 Professional. Với các tùy chọn cao cấp nhất, giá cho mẫu máy này cũng có thể lên tới 1.000 USD.
Chip xử lý Zacate dựa trên nền tảng kiến trúc Fusion với việc tích hợp cả CPU AMD và GPU của ATI trên một đế để tăng hiệu suất sử dụng. Trong một số thử nghiệm ban đầu của AnandTech, APU Zacate của AMD thậm chí còn có khả năng xử lý tốt hơn cả chip Core i5 của Intel nhờ được tích hợp cả chip đồ họa.
